Your baby is six months old and its time to get the books
out again and learn all about the next stage… feeding
your baby solids.
So many questions; when do you start, what food do you
start with, how much, when, how do you make it… the
list goes on. It can be a stressful time with conflicting
information and inconsistent opinions. Whether you attend
one of Sprout Right’s ‘What should I feed my
baby?’ workshops, or have a one-on-one consultation
with our nutritionist, finding out what is right for your
baby is what we specialize in.
We support you each step of the way, from puree to finger
food, to picky eaters and beyond. We answer your questions
and help to make sense of everything that you have heard and
read.
At different stages of your baby’s development, there are
certain nutrients that need to be included in their diet.
Knowing what they are and what foods supply the best
combinations helps you give your baby a complete diet that
lets your baby continue to grow strong and healthy. You will
feel more confident knowing that what you are feeding your
baby is covering all nutritional requirements.
There may be times when your baby refuses to eat certain
foods, or there may be foods that your baby never likes.
Learning of alternatives and what you can do to get similar
nutrients or hide those foods in a recipe ensures there
are no shortfalls in your baby’s diet.
It really is easy to do and does not take long once you
have the right tools. Sprout Right’s workshops shows
you how to do it all. Steaming, mashing, pureeing, you
name it, you will learn about it. Taste testing between
home made and store bought illustrates the differences
in tastes and how that may affect your baby’s palate.
Food allergies and sensitivities have become quite a concern
for some parents. Reactions to foods are far more common
these days and knowing what to expect and what you can
do to help minimize any potential risk is another of Sprout
Right’s specialties. Take the guess work out of when
to introduce certain foods and what to do about your concerns
by seeing a Sprout Right Nutritionist.
